Welcome

The Tickled Pink One is a guitar. It’s easy to start there. It’s a guitar like no other guitar, a design nobody else will ever be seen playing with a sound that is raw and never to be forgotten

So it’s a guitar, we’ve covered that, but there is a little more to it.

It’s also a great idea.

It’s a great idea as it is going to raise money for a special cause.

It’s going to raise money that will help support the amazing (and what an over used word that is, but in this case more than truly apt) so yes, it will raise money to help the very amazing work that Breast Cancer Care do to support people who have to deal with this horrible disease.

So it is a special guitar doing something cool to support amazing work.

For this guitar is going to be auctioned on February 13th 2013 and hopefully people will dig deep and stump up. Do something special for themselves, and for all the families it will benefit.

But it seemed a shame to stop there, we had a few months to spare and figured we could work it a bit harder. But what to do?

Then as bright sparks do, a bright spark came up with another fine idea and we decided to send the guitar around the country, being passed from one guitarist to the next, each raising some money along the way.

As to its journey, well you can follow it on this web site, and if you want to help there are a few ways.

1.    You can of course donate to Breast Cancer Care at The Tickled Pink One Just Giving Page.

And don’t forget to click on the Gift Aid box if you are a Tax Payer.

2.    The guitar will be auctioned at the wedding of Andrew and Lesley on 13th February 2013.

This will be done via sealed bids that will be opened on the night, and lucky for me you don’t have to be invited to the wedding to be able to take part.

If you would like to make a bid, you can find out how to do it on our imaginatively named ‘Making a Bid’ page.

3.    You can tell people about this and spread the word. Tell your friends on Facebook, write a quick and pithy tweet or even speak to them. We’re also hoping that the guitar will be played at a few gigs as it travels around, and if one is in your area it would be good to see you there. All the details will appear here in plenty of time, and you deserve a nice night out away from the TV, you know you do.

So please join in and do something groovy too – a couple of quid here can make all the difference.
