To Burton, Trevor

Well, I used to watch Trevor Burton play blues in pubs in Birmingham, but now The Tickled Pink One has left the sacred shores and moved on to Wez Venebles in Burton-on-Trent.

No, I don't understand that either.

Now Wez - indirectly, as in you can't blame him for it - started me wanting to make weird guitars in the first place, so without him none of this would have happened. So, maybe I am blaming him.

Anyway, before it journeyed on it was in Brum with Eriktheweary, in Halesowen in fact, as you can see in this story-so-far.

Which is genius, even if he wasn't in The Move

Piggin' Hell Brummies - It's The Gee Gee Song

Well, OK, it's the Tickled Pink One really, and that is good enough for me, even if I'm feeling sad and in exile from Baltiland, UK as I see that Rock 'n' Roll Dave has taken delivery of the wee thing as it finally hits my spiritual home town.

And there has been some discussion about the amount of facial hair all of the players - perhaps disciples? - are sporting as the Pinkster continues to wing it's way around our fair land. But right and proper it is too.

Where it goes next, I think it stays in Brum for a wee bit before popping off to Burton on Trent, where they all talk funny but make fine Beer.

Give my regards to Stirchley, chaps.

Fat Old Man Recording

Well, my updates seem to be more sporadic than ever, but the latest sightings of The Tickled Pink One place it in the Midlands - a Spiritual Homecoming - and I am starting to think, Young Jools and his band of strumming itinerants might just pull this off.

One thing we was verily pleased to hear, was that friend of the Pink, the Fat Old Man, had finished a recording of a song he had made in tribute to and with The Tickled Pink One.

This is it is all it's glory.

Clearly he is bonkers cool, which we like lotso. His site is well worth checking out too, not only for more tunes but because he has the finest collection of guitars the world has ever seen. Here it be, lovely.
