About The Guitar

The Tickled Pink One is a guitar based on a Fender La Cabronita, built in Portishead, England by The Jooky Guitar Emporium.

As with all our guitars, it is a completely unique design that will never be repeated, and is signed and dated as well as numbered. It's like a work of art that you can play, loudly.

The body of the guitar is made from Swamp Ash, which is light and vibrant.

The back and sides have been hand-stained, with the top being treated to a pink ribboned fabric finish, that has been aged, tattered and torn, generally battered and then screwed down for good measure.

The scratchplate is made from an original 1960s copy of 'All You Need Is Love' by The Beatles. This too has been screwed down onto the guitar's body, as you know what these cheeky chappies are like.

The neck is a lovely maple/rosewood jobby, with aged Wilkinson tuners providing solidity where you need it at the top.

The pickup is a TV Jones sized P90, that has been especially wound by the extremely talented Marc Ransley of Mojo Pickups.

Marc also provided a vintagely authentic wiring loom, complete with a one-off Tickled Pink Paper In Oil Capacitor, which can be seen peeking through the transparent cavity cover at the back.

The guitar has a fixed bridge and classic Gretsch knobs to set it off a treat.

The guitar is travelling the country between October 2012 and February 2013, raising funds for Breast Cancer Care as it goes.

It will be auctioned at the wedding of Andrew Robinson and Lesley Clarke on the 13th of February 2013.
